About TMC
Developing a network of mentors is crucial to the graduate student experience, but it is often difficult to seek out mentorship outside of your home department.
As part of Mentoring Your Way, our Transdisciplinary Mentoring Community pairs Peer Facilitators with small groups of fellow graduate students from different programs to engage in conversations and accelerate connections beyond one’s home department throughout the academic year. Groups meet once per month to discuss key focus areas and share their experiences. The aim is to foster mentoring and professional development beyond students’ advisors and across A&S graduate programs.
To further encourage new connections, A&S faculty mentors are invited to host TMC lunches throughout the year. These lunches are a chance to meet students from different TMC groups and seek faculty perspectives in a casual environment.
Our first TMC cohort launched in August 2024. To learn more about how to get involved with TMC in the future, email artscigrads@wustl.edu.
